Race report by Terry Lee
Qualifying started cold and dry but it was tricky to find grip but as the weather warmed up the lap times dropped. Current UK F1 Champion and championship leader after the first round, Luke Lee, took a convincing TQ winning all four qualifying rounds and Damian Giddins qualified third just missing out on second by a tie break on times.

The first final saw Luke take an early lead whilst Damian battled with second place. Luke's lead was cut by an unfortunate incident with a back marker, however he had enough of a gap to resume in the lead and maintained it till the end of the race. Damian came in in third.

The second final was a repeat of the first (without the back marker incident) Luke sailed off to a comfortable lead and Damion used all his skill to try and steal second place, but in the end had to settle with third.

Barry Hughes was improving well with his X1 and was gaining speed with each run. he managed to qualify and finish 9th in the A final which he was very pleased with.
Young Jak Sansom struggled in qualifying and was placed second on the grip in the B final, but in the finals he got to grip with the car and took the overall B final win.
Luke was really pleased with his times especially in qualifying round 4, going around 9 tenths of a second a lap quicker than anyone else, it really showed what potential the XRAY X1 2017 has.

It didn't really seem like he was pushing too hard but the car felt like it had plenty of traction and allowed him to carry more speed through the corners than he expected. His times were not matched by anyone else all weekend.
